ROOMMATE’S COMPUTER __ * * PLEASE HELP * * __ CANNOT UNINSTALL TRIAL!

please help!! I was using my roommate’s computer to work on some digital pictures I took. To make a long story short, his lease is up, he is leaving and taking his computer with him.

I promised him I would take off all of my downloaded programs, but PHOTOSHOP CS will not uninstall!! I read through all of the posts here cannot find help on this matter. I located the Uninst.dll in my ADOBE > PHOTOSHOP Folder, but when I execute it, it says… "You are attempting to open a file of type ‘Application Extension’ (.dll)" and then gives me the option on searching the web or browsing for a file to open the program with. I clicked on properties and it says it is version 3.9.8.2 ~ My roommate’s computer is a two-year old Dell w/ Windows XP.

I realize that Adobe put a block on the trial version so you are unable to delete files and then re-download later. He never wants to use software — just to erase all traces from his beloved computer.

Have you tried the normal uninstall method which is to use Control Panel – Add Remove Programs.

or reinstall then uninstall vial add remove programs.

Reformat and reinstall the other applications. That is the only way to remove any "trace" of the trial application.

I am sure you are tueful in your request that this is for removing from your roommates computer and not for you to cheat the 30 day trial.

Thank you all so much!! I tried Mick Murphy’s suggestion to add/remove but it would not register (i cannot believe how adobe sets up their trial software!!) I ended up buying a zip750 ($$) and a couple of zips and just saved his extensive work on his computer and then reformatted HIS ENTIRE COMPUTER. Adobe really makes sure that you cannot get this software for free. Just to make everyone aware, a friend of mine (who was helping me reformat so i did not screw up) got his copy of photshop cs from Kazaa Lite K++ for free. He told me it took about 24 hours to download, but it was worth it.

no but they have kristen’s ip trace. the bsa should be knocking on her door any day now to ask her about her friends and to maybe poke around her hard drive a little.

No. Due to budget cutbacks, they drive Kia’s now. No specific color.

I saw a shiny new unmarked electric blue Crown Victoria cruiser today w/black windows and grill. I think that’s the new style. (Yes, they’re very cool looking! Except when they’re behind you! <g>)
