When I print a proof sheet, under each picture I have selected to be on that sheet is the name of that file.

I would like to control what is printed under each picture.I would like to place a caption for each rather than the file name. Is there any way to do that?

Thanks.

I just did it today. In PS CS, using Contact Sheet II, I simply typed the desired text where I wanted it, after the pictures were on the contact sheet. Under the first row of images, I typed one caption for all the pictures once in the center of the row. I typed three captions in the second row, two under the end pictures, and one caption for the two middles pictures. The third and last row didn’t have any captions. So, you have the freedom to type anything you want to.

So, if I make a contact sheet, before printing I can add the text by using the TEXT tool. Right?

Thank you.

Maybe in PhotoShop CS, but version 7.0 didn’t leave any room between the rows for entering information.

Wondering if there is a workaround? Or something I am not doing right?

Thanks

I just tried it in 7.0 and if you choose fewer rows (and/or columns) per page, it will leave space for you to enter what you want.

Very strange, because I DID use fewer rows just to see if it would leave room and it didn’t. The rows were touching each other. And this is in version 7.0

Looked to see if there were something I missed, some option, but I don’t see any.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

Ooooops! Tried it once again, making sure there were fewer rows AND IT WORKED!
Thanks for the replies. I just didn’t use logic when trying it again. It depends on the number of rows selected. I notice the last picture was resting on the bottom, no room for caption. But am sure I now can work around that.

My apologies and my thanks.
