Photoshop CS or 7 works ok as long I don’t try to import anything coming from the scanner here the error message I got and ps shuts down :

Could not complete the import command because of a problem with the acquisition module interface:

Hardware: Pentium III – 700 mhz, acerscan scanner 620st with acard 6170d, mirascan v342

mirascan never worked for me under xp. same error message as you give. give up. get a cheap usb scanner.

I have an acer presia 610st. Tried with acer card AND with an adaptec 2906 scsi. seriously. i tried for about 2 years. recently got a refurbed epson perfection 1260 photo for 39 bux, no shipping direct from epson. blows away the 610st in image quality. speed’s about the same (big reason I went with the 610st in the first place). does negs and transparancies.
