As we both know, the educational version should be no different from the standard retail version of PSCS, so I don’t know why it wouldn’t have been loaded. I know with the PS7.01 update for PS7, some folks found that it didn’t load the Adobe Gamma shortcut to the startup folder although Adobe Gamma was available on their PC. I think that may also have applied to Windows 2000 uniquely, although I don’t recall for certain. So, all I can offer (ask), is that by "other folders", does that include C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Calibration? If not, you should find Adobe Gamma.exe there and could create a shortcut to it to place into your Startup folder.

I hate this XP Admin/Power User/etc. crap…you’d think that Microsquash could simplify this for single users!!!(Yes, I can see where it would be helpful for some people, but come on, for a single user to have to log in as admin for some of the most common tasks is pathetic!)
Also..Len what can we do to run it? I did find it in calibration…can we run directly from there with shortcut on desktop? (Seems to be working…just want confirmation!)

If by "single user" you mean you are the only user of your PC, then why not set it up so that your usual login name has Admin rights associated with it? Or, change the Administrator name to your user name. That should help you get over such hurdles as these.
Nonetheless, I do know it gets frustrating to have to be concerned with user rights, but I don’t so much blame Microsoft as I do the application developers. The problem is likely more one of shared blame though. A good example is Easy CD Creator 4, which required admin rights to burn a CD but that is no longer true in version 6. Save for some system utilities that might wreak havoc upon a system, I don’t think any application should require admin rights in order for it to be launched and used.
