I feel like an amateur posting this question, but here it goes. I’m trying to make TIFF files with transparent backgrounds in Photoshop 6 for Windows, but can’t get it to work. Adobe’s photoshop help index says to simply select "preserve transparency" when saving, but the option is not there. I only get a box to select byte order. I even tried using the transparency wizard, but that failed, too.
I have made transparent TIFF files before, and I am baffled as to why I can’t figure it out. It may be that I am simply overlooking something obvious. If anyone knows what I am missing or why the preserve transparency option never shows up, please let me know.
