Several times now when I try to save a file in Photoshop CS I get an error message about not being able to complete the action because of a program error.
Once I was able to save the file under a new name, but the latest time I couldn’t find any way to make the save work..
I’m running Win 2K with all the latest service packs.

I also had the same thing happen once when I tried to do a select color range.

Anyone else having problems?

Haven’t run into any problems under WinXP. Your problems could be caused by one of several things:

1. Some other program is running in the background and inteferring with PS
2. PS wasn’t installed correctly – try uninstall, regclean and reinstall
3. Defective disk
4. Virus
5. Video card driver not up to date
6. Some other program has possibly corrupted key Win2000 files

I’m running PS CS w/ win2k SP4. No problems here.

A few ideas:

Reset preferences: Alt-Ctrl-Shift when starting up PS.

change scratch to another drive other than the boot.

re-install. You will not have to reactivate.

Hope that helps.

I can reproduce this fairly consistently now. I open an existing file of a "frame". I insert the present image I’m working on into the frame. Then I do a "save as" to the frame file so as not to change the frame so that it will be available next time.
That’s when I get the program error.

Try doing a save first and then a save as.
