I tried to automate the RAW to TIFF conversion in PSCS using an action and batch process. My ( the ) typical workflow is to set the WB in one picture and process then the rest via batch.
Here is now my problem. The action actually stores all RAW conversion parameter, so for the next batch you have to rerecord the action again to set the new RAW conversion parameter. My thought was to select in the action a special stored setting file ( e.g. "Batch convert" ) for the conversion, so that I never have to change the action, only the setting file. Unfortunately the action "ignores" the setting field, it always processes the hardcoded parameter.
Is the "action rerecord" method the right/only method to do batch RAW conversions or are there smarter methods ?
