When I start Photoshop CS I get the error "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format". I tried reinstalling, but after a little while I get the same message. Any help on how to fix this would be very helpful. Thanks.

sounds like a plug in could be causing it on startup, but I’m stumped as to why you would get the error again "after a little while". I’m leaning towards thinking it’s not PS CS that’s causing the error since the plugins only load once at start up. Can you describe what you’re doing when you get the error the second time? Is it random? Is there any other info you can provide? Can you post a screen shot of the actual error?

what is the plugin? does it come with an uninstall? (add remove programs?) can you just remove the *.8bf file from the plug ins directory? is it a full version or a trial?

and removing the .8bf file from the plugins directory doesnt work.

how did you install it? look to see if there are possibly other related files with it you might need to remove.

I’ve never heard of "set reflectivify". Who makes it? Is it just a programmer or a big company. If it’s one single developer, maybe you can e-mail him for help.

dont know who makes it.. but could you give me an example of what files may be associated with the new plugin?

well where did you get it and how did you install it? just about anything can come with a plugin, from nothing but the 8bf, to thousands of files (autofx). i have no way of knowing without more detail on what it is and where you got it.
