Hi Folks – I’m looking to organize (or join if one already exists) a Photoshop User Group that could meet quarterly or monthly or whatever, to talk about Photoshop, share some knowledge and pick some up from other people. Its a form of networking I’ve seen work with other specialized software and bet it could work here too. If anyone knows of anything going on in Vancouver already, or would like to join me in trying to start something, I’d love to hear from you.

p.s. I’m not just thinking photographers here by the way, but graphic designers, web designers, etc too.

Not sure if this’ll help, but have you checked your local library or local community colleges? They’re often the kinds of places where I’d expect to find groups like your speaking of.

Sounds like a good idea to me if you have enough people in your area who are interested. If one doesn’t exist, put up a sign in the lobby of the library (ask the librarian first of course!) and ask if anyone’s interested. If you get enough people, see about setting up regual meetings right at the library.
