I have a multi-layer, multi-frame animation in Imageready, but when I "Save as Optimized" the only choice I get is JPG. Why isn’t it defaulting to GIF to save the animation? I’ve made some animated GIFs before, but it has always defaulted to the GIF saving option?

What am I doing wrong?

This usually happens when you had previously saved the document in Photoshop as .jpg, and then jumped too ImageReady….

If thats the case, jump back to photoshop, Save for the web, choose .gif, once done, jump back to Imageready then Save Optimized, and it should present the gif option.

hope that helps
