can’t find the answer to restoring the info bar (file size, etc.) beneath an image.

Click Window > Status Bar

I’m sure I pulled a "dumbs..t" but it’s like pulling teeth to find the info on info bar.

Thanks for any and all help!

Is your window too big? and it’s hiding under the taskbar from windows?

Thanks, guys, for the prompt replies but "it don’t work."
When I open an image, the bottom of the image frame has no status bar hanging under it and it doesn’t matter whether the "STATUS BAR" line in the WINDOW drop-down box is checked or not!

I hope this doesn’t mean that I must reinstall PS.

Any further ideas?

In Windows it ahould appear at the bottom of the program window, not the image window.

Adobe has added the info bar to each and every image. Personally, this is not a change I would have voted for. I find this is less useful overall than the old way, but you do now have the advantage of being able to move windows to a second display, assuming you have one.

Oops – I meant my last post for PS CS2, not PS7. Bill is correct that it can be restored under the Window menu.

I don’t think so…the image is about a 4" x 5" on a 19" monitor. I can clearly see the edge frame all around the image with the blue strip on the top and scales on top and left sides. The frame bottom is clean and, when I drag it downward, I simply expose gray canvas on the top and bottom of the frame (the image centers.)

Hoo Boy! (Sound of palm of hand hitting forehead!)

Well, that shows me something about those stupid pills…you only need one, and it lasts for a long time!

Many thanks,
