I have not used the gradient feature for a while now, but I just spent the better part of an hour looking all over the application, trying to apply a gradient to a simple colored shape I created on a white background. Unfortunately, Adobe P-help does not tell you where to find the toolbar. They only show a picture of the icon and then explain how to use it.

Thanks!

Version 7.01. Yes, I did look under the Paint Bucket. It is not there. Am I in the wrong format? RGB? CMYK?

Try Shift/G to toggle between it and the paint bucket. If that doesn’t work, delete your prefs, per the FAQ.

look under the paint bucket

That means click on the paint bucket and hold… or right click on the paint bucket.

Thanks, I’ll try it when I return to the office on Monday.
