Does anyone know how I need to format mac adobe photoshop files so that my local photo processor can print my retouched photos. We’ve tried jpeg and tiff formats and I’ve used my old 4.0 version of photoshop and my newer 5.0LE version – he can’t open files from either of them. He’s pc, not mac. I need these pictures desperately.

Thanks for any help. – LBK

You should be able to save as Tiff and the options that pop up have Mac or PC Byte order. You save it as a PC Byte order and that should do it.

For Photoshop format, just make sure that you have "Always Maximize Compatability for PSD" checked, in your preferences.

You are using PC file naming conventions, I assume. That is, with the tif or jpg extensions. I know these are not needed on Mac, but they are on PC (although a clever lab operator would think to try this).

Shouldn’t even matter. Those choices haven’t meant a thing in years. I don’t even know why they’re still there.
