Can’y install update in Photoshop 7

Just reinstalled Windows XP, installed Photoshop 7, tried to install 7.1 update but it says it can’t find Photoshop on the system even though it shows the directory it is installed to

Also have a problem with the colors in Photoshop, tired the ignore EXIF download but it doesn’t help. Any ideas?

check this faq clark, you’re going to need to call adobe:

have you given your serial # out? ps 7.01 update flags known pirated serial #’s and refuses to update. another possibility is have you had the machine in to the shop for service? did you give them your disks to reload programs? a-hole techs have been known to pirate copies of great programs like ps and spread the serial # around the net.

if you’re legal, call the # in that faq and have a proof of purchase ready, cc reciept, purchase order, etc. it’ll also make it easier if you registered the program.

Perhaps you already have 7.0.1 installed?
