Hi,

Photoshop just reported that my "colour profile was damaged" and now most of the palette is replaced with purple. I tried reinstalling but the problem is still there. Any ideas why this occured and how can I get the palette back to normal?

Best regards,

I changed color profile to sRGB Color Space Profile and everything went back to normal, but it would be interesting to know why and how my old profile got damaged. I tried replacing the reported errenous file st96p.icm which is the standard profile for my Samtron 96P, with the same file from my monitor install CD, set st96p as standard profile, restarting etc. but the strange palette syndome is still there in PS7.
What do I lose not having the vendor supplied standard profile? As might be painfully clear, I’m no expert in this field.
