Hi all
I need to split a huge amount of pictures into two equally sized pictures. The source pictures are named 1,2,3 etc, and I want to have the new set of pictures saved in another folder with corresponding and forthcomming number, but now the double amount offcourse. I try to record a batch command, but for some reason the batch command get lost. It makes only half the pictures and get the sequence wrong too. How would you solve the problem? Thnx in advance Erik W

Erik,

I’m not sure how you did your action, but try this:

1) create a new action and click record
2) Select Image>Canvas Size…
3) set the new width to 50%, new height to 100%, and click on the left center anchor point.
4) stop recording

You can use this action via Photoshop’s batch command, or make it into a droplet.

That gets you the left half of each image. The procedure for the right half is very very similar 🙂
