Hi, I’ve been having a simple problem with Adobe Image Ready, but I haven’t been able to figure it out and it’s really been bugging me. I tried looking under the help contents but I couldn’t find an answer to it..Anyway my problem is that when I try to make an animated picture, I can only duplicate the frames to get more, so I’ll duplicate them until I have enough frames I want, but then when I paint or add anything to one frame, it makes the same exact changes to all of them. I can’t change this and haven’t been able to, but I know there has to be a way, I just can’t find it. Any help? Thanks

I’m not an IR expert, but I believe the trick is to have the changes on different layers, and then you make the desired layers visible on the frame you want it to appear in.

Luna,

LAYERS hold content, FRAMES display LAYERS. Create your content on one or more layers and then choose which layer (or layers) are visible in each frame.

good to see some other people have also struggled with this – I had exactly the same problem (posted elsewhere earlier) – and wanted to say thanks for the hint/explanation Len. Hopefully I’ll get somewhere now. And the Adobe Help really isn’t very helpful on this at all.
