How do you select a circle area, and how can you adjust it’s size? Can you select a circle area and drag out the shape to the size you want? Trying to make CD label image from an existing jpg file. Thanks for any help,
Ed

Use the Elliptical Marquee.

Look at your toolbar very closely. See how many tools have a little tiny triangle in the lower right-hand part of the tool? that tells you that if you click on the tool and hold the mouse button down, more tools will pop out.

Click on the Marquee tool and hold down the mouse button. Several more tools will pop out, including the elliptical marquee, which lets you make circular selections.

This is all in the card that came with your copy of Photoshop that shows the toolbar layout. You did buy your copy of Photoshop, so you have the manual and toolbar layout, right?

Hold the shift key while you use the Elliptical Marquee. As for the size use the ruler around the canvas. (under View menu select Rulers)

the "little flyout" doesn’t show you how to make a circle – that’s why it is called the ellipse tool

the other poster answered the guy’s question
