This is easy Dick!
3 steps under Photoshop CS, 4 under Photopaint. Sorry I don’t have PS 7 anymore.

Hi Dick ,we don’t have those effects in PS& that Douglas was able to use in CS but I just brought up the histgram in Image/adjustments and played a little with the slider.

I use PS 7.0.1.
I was able to fix this photo with levels, curves, brightness/contrast, and auto levels. I quit trying at that point.
It is still merely better than no image at all.

Just going into Levels and pulling the sliders in gets you to an image. It needs some knowlage of the background and jacket colours to go further. "ross" wrote in message

just use the levels tool (might help to switch to lab mode first and then switch back to rgb when u are done).

grab the right slider in your levels tool over to where almost u see photo data (whatever its called)…..and bingo…your increadly dark photo comes out ok.

dont mess with brightess & contrast….thats a crappy tool that makes EVERYTHING brighter or darker….where in levels or curves…..us can retain more control

Actually there was a good link on a howto use the auto color option about a week back. I’d normally stayed away from auto color also but I use it all the time now that I know a better way.

It ran thru this group about a week or two back.
Might be available at google still..

I ran that image thru the auto color, blonde, blue sweater, tanned. The background was garbage. I don’t think anything can fix that. I tried just adding noise to give it a texture.
But the autocolor gave it a starting point.
