Can you turn off Extras? New documents always start with it on.

Can you turn off Extras? New documents always start with it on and everytime I have to hit CTRL + h to hide this "image slice" thing.

Is there a way to make photoshop start with extras off and then put them on when I need them?

Or keep the extras on but remove the image slice thing?

view> extras> uncheck what you don’t want on.
