If I view my gallery of images in Windows XP and have the folder properties to displaying thumbnails, I can see that all my images are.. automaticly rotated (which I’m still wondering about??) but when I open the image in photoshop cs it rotates incorrectly. I’m having a problem running a web photo gallery batch because now anytime I turn my camera, XP rotates it automaticly but photoshop won’t.

View them in Photoshop’s File Browser. That will be how PS interprets their orientation.

And the core problem, of course, is that the whole metadeta situation is a near-hopeless mess. If you tag an image for rotate, what metadata key do you use?

What kind of camera is it?

Its a Canon EOS D1, I can view them in file browser and they are the correct rotation, then when I select to open it it rotates the image.
