Hello,
I have created a slideshow with some of my photos at 300 dpi and others at 72 dpi. Both types appear to be randomly pixelated. Sound familiar to anyone? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gary

It really depends on where you are showing the Slide show.

If it is on a TV then you do not want too big a file size, 1024 x760 pixels at 72 PPI should give a smooth looking image.

If you are viewing on your Monitor or Projector, then size does not really matter, except that the changeovers might get a bit slow because of file size.

It could be that your random pixellation, artifacts, is due to repeated saves of compressed Jpegs.

It’s not the ppi of the image, per se, that makes a difference but the total number of pixels in the image file.
The slideshow software will RESAMPLE your data so the image will fit the screen correctly.
For a TV presentation, 800 X 600 pixels should be plenty. For a monitor slideshow, 1600 x 1200 pixels should work fine if your monitor is set to this high a resolution.

It is Photoshop – *Photoshop* Elements 3.0. What other group can he post to?

Well, I can find no such group on any of my servers. In any case, the point I was making is that Photoshop Elements is still Photoshop and therefore within the remit of this group, surely? Many others have posted questions about it.

Hey, I don’t own the place, so nobodys complaining but here it’s called photoshop, there is no mention of elements and there is an elements group even if it’s not listed on your server, I merly pointed this out!
