I have recently started getting a colour cast on prints when printing from photoshop. The colour cast does not appear when I print the same image from another application on the same computer nor does it appear when I print the same image via a network from photoshop on another computer to the same printer. This leads me to believe that it has something to do with the settings in photoshop on this computer. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Many thanks.

Thanks Barry but I have already done this. Pure white RGB 255,255,255 is printing grey.

A good summary of things to check would be:

in addition to the excellent reading provided by gary, RErun adobe gamma from the control panel, your calibration is still off.

It probably doesn’t have to do with your monitor profile and adobe gamma, because it prints fine from another application. What exactly are your print settings from PS? (rendering intent, printer profile, etc.)

?!! the other app is probably not color managed. that’s why it’s wierded out in ps.

PS is color managed the other apps aren’t- I stand by my original- your profile is broken. Start A. gamma with a fresh profile not the hosed one, pick any canned one, just not your original.
