I have around 300 jpeg files to process. I created "Open,Auto Levels, Save" action. Everything is fine, but photoshop asks me every time for JPEG optimalization settings. Is there any way to record that I’m just pressing Enter or to somehow skip this dialog?

First of all, you shouldn’t be resaving jpegs because the quality degrades with each save.

Having said that, it seems to me that Adobe broke the Actions/Batch function after PS6, when they introduced new features like naming. If you do this in PS 6 it will work fine. And if you make the action in PS 6 and load it in 7 it will work. Perhaps on later versions too.

Do you have PS 6.0.1? If not I can send you the action for you to try out.

Should you have CS2, just check the Overide Action "Save as" Commands option in the Automation dialog.

Have you actually tried that?

It existed in previous versions too. I think you are best off not having a Save As step (or and Open step) in this action and using Save and Close.

Yep, that’s the way I do it and it works fine. However, there might be some better ways how to do it 🙂
