Hi,

I don’t know how I did this, but every image comes up with the grid on. Checking or unchecking any option is lost when the next file is opened.

Any ideas on how to turn the thing off?

Turn the grid off while no file is open.

The entire "View" menu is disabled when no file is open.

Did you try (depending on PS Version) VIEW > SHOW > then uncheck GRID? Then close PS.
PS usually remembers your last settings and opens accordingly. Bob Williams

I’ve ended up just clearing the settings. Erk.

That’s interesting; it isn’t on my computer (Photoshop CS). Just tested it.
