I am used to other softwares but now I have to learn PS. I know it is "the one" for many people but I am feeling lost there. There are many things that a know well how to… and am not able to find the equivalence hin PS.
I might have a lot a newbie questions for some time, do you mind? By the way I am Portuguese so, my English can be quite strange or not correct some times.

Here are the first ones:
1- How do you print more than one image in the same paper from PS interface? It only seems to print the active one, is that the way it is? 2- Is there any way to add buttons to the upper bar, like icons to click to use commands? It is a very slow process to remember a lot of new shortcuts or to move around from menu to menu…

To print several images on the same sheet of paper, say 3 images 4×6 inches in size.
1. Open the 3 images and crop each picture to 4×6" at some convenient resolution e.g., 300ppi
2. Then go to FILE > NEW and set the dimensions of the paper to 8.5 x 11.0" and set the resolution to 300 ppi.
3. Activate the first image and from the layer palette drag the active layer to the New File.
4. Click on the move tool and position the picture near the top of the page. Repeat for the other two images. (two images must be in Portrait mode and one in Landscape mode to fit all 3 images on the sheet.
5. Then LAYERS > FLATTEN
6. Then FILE > PRINT.
Hope this helps you.

Yes it does, thanks.
I did find that way, more or less, after quiting from finding a direct way. It’s funny how PS can be more complicated in some simple procedures when it is so powerfull.

That is quite true.
I think it stems from the fact that PS is a PROFESSIONAL tool and professionals don’t often want to print three 4×6 images on a single sheet of paper. Often, entry level programs can do specific operations better, easier, faster than PS.
I remember about 4-5 years ago I used the current version of PhotoSuite (about $30) and it could remove Red Eye in a heartbeat. To do the same in PS takes at least 10X as long.

use file > automate > picture package or file > automate > contact sheet to print more than one image on a page. look in the page layout options for various arrangements. if you can’t find a layout that suits your needs then you can open a new file and populate it with the images you want on a page.
you can customize menus and make your own keyboard shortcuts. all this can be found in help.
