Would one of you experts be willing to colour correct a picture for me. I just can’t seem to get this guy right. He’s used loads in our paper, and I’m sick of keep trying to get him to come out properly. It’s a terrible photo! I’d give you guys the credit for it…

….please…?

You’re opening yourself up to the possibility of anything from "sure, I’ll be happy to" to "pay someone" or perhaps even worse.

You’d be far better off asking for assistance. That way you’d get some knowlege along the way.

You might want to check out www.retouchpro.com. Lots of terrific stuff there.

Nathan,

Hopefully you are using a color-managed workflow, with an appropriate printer profile, monitor profile, and color space for working in. If not, that is likely a big factor in the poor results you’re seeing. Good information related to color management can be found at Ian Lyon’s website, choosing one of the color management articles found in the "Featured Articles" drop-down menu: <http://www.computer-darkroom.com/home.htm>

Daryl
