Hello,

I’m wondering if there’s a patch available for Photoshop 6 so that it can open Photoshop CS/CS2 files?

There’s the 6.0.1 update available on the Adobe site. But you should be able to open the files anyway, but without any features that were not supported by PS6. What’s the problem? Do you get an error message?

Yeah, says it’s out of RAM or something. I read somewhere that PS6 has a bug in it that doesn’t allow it to open CS/CS2 files so I was just wondering if there was a patch available yet. I’ll try merging all the effect layers and things and see how that works – thanks for your help.

They are never going to patch an older version. Did you apply the 6.0.1 update?

I didn’t try with opening CS2 full-blown files in PS6 application. However, I expect that the file will open but according to features available in PS6, NO MORE.
