I just discovered the greatest thing since sliced bread and had to share it here. Forgive me if this is old news.

Dr. Brown’s Image Processor works with CS to batch process files, either from within the browswer or directly from folders.

Look at RussellBrown.com:
<http://www.russellbrown.com>

Under Tips and Techniques — <http://www.russellbrown.com/body.html> — it’s the Dr. Brown’s Image Processor.

First, download the QuickTime Tutorial. Download it instead of running it — the 2nd link, not the first one — because you’ll want to view it twice!

Then, download and install the script…

Look here for the script:
<http://share.studio.adobe.com/Default.asp>
In the PS dropdown list, select Scripts. You should then be here: <http://share.studio.adobe.com/axBrowseSubmit.asp?t=74> Dr. Brown’s script is down the page.

This is TERRIFIC! Gee whiz! WOW!

You can process RAW files and create PS, TIFF and JPG’s ALL AT ONCE, and each file type can be a different size! How’s that for cool? This script will become part of my workflow immediately.

If the whole thing seems a bit complicated at first, don’t be put off. Just watch the movie again. In fact, you can run the movie and PS at the same time and try what he’s talking about as the tutorial moves along.

Everything Dr. Brown’s script does can be done with Actions and Batch processing, but I have found setting that up to be difficult. This makes it easy.
