How to remove the context menu entries:
When i Right click on any picture file there comes an option in the context menu ‘Edit with ImageReady’ and ‘Edit with Photoshop’.
Kindly advice how to remove this.

Change your file handling preferenced under Control Panel>Folder Options>File Types. Change those file types that bother you so they only open with your desired application, Windows Media, PS, Freehand, or whatever.

Not without writing your own program. Adobe wrote their program over a long period of time, and although you may find plug-ins that are compatable with Photoshop effects, I’m not sure you will find plug-ins that change the basic operations of the application, like cursor color, dialog box size, etc…

Many applications you use will have similarites and differences betwixt them, and GUI (graphic user interface, the buttons and menus you choose from) are not by design all that configurable beyond rearranging where they are on your display.

If you don’t plan on being a computer programmer as a career, you would be better off just learning to use the apps as written to the maximum of their capability, and consider yourself "flexible" by being able to work with various program ideosyncracies and irritations…

If you mean configure the Open With menu when you right click on a file in WIn Explorer, check out the link below.

Good link, Mick, but I think he means more the contextual menus that open with various tools in Photoshop, not opening images. We already solved that problem a few posts back.

Ol’ Whozit

I’m not sure what qat means but I admit he/she probably wasn’t looking for what I posted. Nevertheless Doug Knox’s site is a great site for tweakers.
