I know this is a new feature in Photoshop, that the alpha channel in an image is automatically made transparent when first loaded, but from time to time, I need to access parts of the original background image.
I have searched the manuals, menus, submenus, and online docs extensively, but can find no option for loading an image with opaque RGB channels, and the alpha as a separate channel, as it was in previous versions of Photoshop.
Any help in this matter is appreciated.
Thanks
