eps import error

When I try to open an eps image I get the following error in Photoshop 5.5:

"Could not opent the document because the parser module cannot parse the file".

Any suggestions?

Try distilling the EPS o make a PDF. If you don’t have Adobe Acrobat, then you probably know someone who does.

Photoshop’ 5.5’s EPS parser wasn’t the most robust on the block……and IIRC was only ‘guaranteed’ to parse Illustrator EPS files.

If you have Illustrator, try opening it there. If not and you have the full acrobat product you could try distilling to PDF.

If you have a friend with Photoshop 7 or CS then they may have better success….
