I was able to on version 6, but now that I got version CS, I just can’t seem to do it.

I’m running windows XP on a Hewlett Packard 8665c. I have 256 Mbytes of RAM.

Can someone help me out?

Unckle,

Well nothing has really changed between the two versions where animated gif’s are concerned.

You’ll need to tell us in detail where you are seeing problems….

ok, my exact problem is shown in the partial screen capture on the link. I go to export…->original document and then it won’t let me save it as a gif. I also tried doing this with all the frames being gifs instead of jpgs, but it didn’t work.

it would have to be giffs, you dont get animated jpegs.

Unkle,

To save an animated GIF you select Save Optimised and ensure you have GIF selected in the Optimise palette

Ok, I have a new problem.

I’ve done this twice now.

Last time when I saved the gif, it was in color, but the saved gif was pixelated.

This time, the gif was black and white and extremely pixelated. No where near what it was supposed to look like. I have a link to what it looks like…

That looks like either you have too few colours in the GIF or more likely, before creating the GIF you converted a greyscale to bitmap using a dither
