when i try to use the ‘level’ feature, the window is black instead of showing the graph. Why? how do i fix this?

It is likely due to buggy new video drivers. Here’s how you test. Go to control panel, run the system applet. Find Video Harware Acceleration, and set it to NONE. Retry – if the problem goes away in Photoshop, it’s video drivers. You have to either upgrade them, or roll back one version.

That did it! i had it set to max acceleration (don’t know why) tried notching dow, but ‘none’ did the trick

Tim,

That means you have a video driver problem. Turning down Hardware Acceleration is a DIAGNOSTIC rather than a fix. Go to your vid.card manufacturer’s web site and check for updated video drivers.

think i got other issues with the card which i cannot deal with at this time thanks
