Hi, i have had adobe photoshop for about a year and a half now.. and since about a week ago, it lists all the things like brushes, styles, gradients and says they could not get list because scratch disks are full. and then it says cannot initialize adobe photshop because scratch disks are full.

please help me out,

Maybe thats just so. Every time PS is shut down abnormally (e.g. through a crash or Task Manager etc.) the content of the scratch is not cleared. And when PS is restarted it creates a scratch volume with a different name.
After a year and a half this build-up might fill an entire harddrive.

Reboot, search for *.tmp files and kill, kill!

You need more space on your scratch disk. Time to kill some files. (Though Rob’s suggestion to remove tmp files first is a start. PS needs a lot of space to operate.)

where would i find these .tmp files? anywhere on my hardware or juss on the drive i installed ps 2?

Yes. The extension .tmp indicates a temporary file which SHOULD have been deleted
