Hi,
I used to do a Control>click to select a layer (I’m using CS1), but now – out of the blue – all I have to do is click on a layer without hitting control to select it. I actually kind of like it that way – but I’m not sure how/why that changed. I don’t recall purposely changing anything, and I don’t see a setting for that in Preferences. Mostly I’m just curious… 🙂

Thanks..!

there is a setting to control that it is just not under edit >preferences If you select the move tool you will see it up top (auto select layer)

you can check or uncheck as you like
Normally I do not like it checked, it changes layers I am working in when I just want to look at them on/off etc.
But when I am making collages or other layouts that require lots of moving and positioning it’s quite handy.
