On a few TIFF Images saved with PhotoShop 7 I get the following Messages when trying to open them (with PhotoShop 7):

"This file was written by Adobe Photoshop. It requires at least Adobe Photoshop 7OO to read it without losing information. Open anyway? This file contains file info data which cannot be read and has been ignored."

"This file was written by Adobe Photoshop. It requires at least Adobe Photoshop 7vO to read it without losing information. Open anyway? This file contains file info data which cannot be read and has been ignored."

"This file was written by Adobe Photoshop. It requires at least Adobe Photoshop 7NO to read it without losing information. Open anyway? This file contains file info data which cannot be read and has been ignored."

"This file contains file info data which cannot be read and has been ignored."

—- What could cause this?

After clicking ok to open anyway, they open fine!

I get this once in a while, generally when scanning into PhotoShop 7, saving the scan to work on later, then get the message when I reopen. Nothing special about the files, last time I had some that did that, they were 8 bit grayscale. No layers or anything.

Since my files generally go out to someone else, I actually resaved them in IrfanView as TIFF and then worked on them in PS. Then didn’t get the message anymore in PS. Just wanted to ensure compatibility.
