Hi I have searched through the forum trying to find the answer to my question first, but I can not find anything here or on google that answers it!!

I was watching this tutorial: (about the middle of the page) Image Warp and Photoshop CS2

Discover some of the new features found in the CS2 Warp tool, and learn how to warp text with amazing control.

After he fixes the bottle shadow, he goes on to show how you can access additional characters using Open Type Fonts. Bickham Script Standard is the one he is using.
I do not happen to have that particular font on my system??? But in CS2 my font drop down menu I can see little icons that are (A=Adobe, 0=Open face?, Tt= True type fonts) But it doesn’t seem to matter which ever "O" font I choose. I can still not get the Character fly out menu to have the option "Open Type" active so I could choose Standard Ligatures, Swash, and such.

I did read somewhere that Adobe has recreated a lot of their fonts into Open Type, but now my question is how does a person know if you have the correct open type font with all the extras?
My computer is brand new and I would assume somewhere on this system is a font that would allow me to use the different characters availible to use in CS2?
Just curious and one of those things that bugs a person!! ;o)

Am I correct that it seems these are special fonts and that they need to be purchased from Adobe?
After more searching…that’s about all I can come up with!!??

Not all OpenType fonts have the extra characters. If you can’t access the extra characters for a given font, then it probably doesn’t have any.

A lot of companies just converted the TrueType fonts over to OpenType and did nothing more than that. Adobe offers a lot of fonts that they call Pro, the Pro is in the name of the font. These I would imagine would have the extra chartacters and these you would have to buy.
