I’m brand new to CS, but have been using Elements for a couple years.

When viewing Canon Raw files (.crw) in the file browser and CameraRaw (prior to any setting changes) the photos look very washed out an off color (saturation and color balance). The coloring is tinted heavily toward magenta. It looks nothing like real life or like they look in Elements or the cameras.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?

This happens with any of my Canon Raw files, created either with a Canon G2 or EOS 10D.

If I look at TIF’s previously converted with BreezeBrowser, or .psd files made from those TIF’s with Elements, they look fine.

I calibrated my CRT monitor with Spyder (PhotoCal), I’ve set my working colorspace to Adobe RGB 1998 (same as I have for Elements). I’ve tried viewing the RAW files with Camera Default as well as the other color spaces. Nothing seems to work.

I have not yet installed CameraRaw 2.1.

Thank you for the help.
