I’ve been looking through PS Help files, books and tutorials by the dozen to try and find a way to do what I would have thought was a fairly simple thing. I need to take a bunch of (mainly tif) photos in a folder and save them with the following parameters:
1. jpg
2. maximum edge size (whether portrait or landscape) = 500px
3. 72dpi
4. predetermined file size (eg 100kb)
Now, this last requirement means that I have to call the ‘Save for web’ dialogue box from the action (using Insert Menu Item), which means PS presents me with the ‘Save As’ menu for each photo. Once I’ve filled in my parameters for the first one, I then have to hit ‘save’ save’ for each and every photo in order to get through the batch. This seems a bit odd.
Am I missing something? Is there another way to get the desired result?
