I have selected and image using the Magic Wand, inversed it to remove it from it’s current backround, yet, when I copy and paste it, it appears with the backround.

What am I doing wrong. I am trying to copy just the image and place is on a different backround.

Thanks !

If you have your item isolated, and still surrounded by the "Marching Ants", a simple Copy/Paste from one document window to the other should work.

Make sure the 2 images are in the same Mode, via Image—»Mode…
