Is it possible to only buy the upgraded version of Photoshop CS when I only have Photoshop Elements 2.0 or do I need to have another version of Photoshop like 6 or 7? If it is possible, is it worth my while to do so?

Take you,
Mr. P.

I think if you call customer service there’s SOME discount going from Elements to PS full, but it’s not the $169ish that you’d pay for an upgrade from the full version. IIRC it was around $300ish, but don’t hold me to that. Beats the heck out of $600+. And then for future versions, you’d be eligable for the regular (169) upgrade price. Best bet is to call customer service or the adobe store and ask.

I don’t want to discourage you too much, but is there something specific in the PS CS feature set, that is not in PSE, that you are looking for.

It’s just that full PS is a monster program, compared with PSE. Most [but not quite all] of the additional functionality is [IMHO] primarily of interest to professionals. I know that many people feel they must have the "real thing", but then get buried in all the complexity.
