Forgive me for asking this question a second time. How do I make an action to insert a copyright notice into the file of a jpg from a Nikon D-100? Whenever I try to make the action work, it stops to ask me what how to save it. Thjis is maddening, as I have over 200 pix to place a copyright into. No matter what I do, it won’t work. I’ve tried for over an hour tonight, and got nowhere. Other times I’ve made it work. Isn’t there some simple method? A thousand thanks in advance. Cliff Moore

use "Save As" instead of just "Save" in the action.

As Dave said, record a Save As… command in the action. Don’t worry about the folder/file name specified.

In addition…

In the File > Automate > Batch dialog, click ON the "Override action ‘Save As’ commands’ check box. Bass ackwards as it seems, doing this will solve your problem. In effect it ignores the folder/file name specified in the recorded Save As… command, but retains (and doesn’t ask for) the .jpg settings.

Be sure your Source folder is different from your Destination folder.

Hope this helps.
