Is there any way to preserve the metadata my digital camera puts in an image if I save a working file in .psd format?

Please ignore my original post. Upon further expermintation I have found that Photoshop DOES preserve the metadata in .psd files. I was attempting to access the information in ACDSee. That program will not show metadata in ..psd files.
