missing line tool adobe photoshop 5.0

I have photoshop version v5.0.2 and am missing the line tool from the toolbar. I have a hand icon where the line tool should be. Can I get the line tool as a download or plug-in?

Haven’t used PS 5 in a while, but if it’s the same as PS 7 …

Look at the tools palette. Some of the tools have a litte triangle in the corner of the icon. Try right-clicking or click and hold on these. The line tool’s in there somewhere.

Thanks much. Turns out on my version I have to click and hold the icon for what seems to be too long. It was under the pencil tool.

Several tools share buttons with other tools. There is a little marker on the shared buttons. Either click and hold or right click and all will be revealed.

What I just said is all true for PS 7, but I don’t think 5.5 was too different.
