I have used the font,ITC Garamond, from Photoshop 7.0 drop down menu in a project and need to send that font file with the project to the printer. This font is not to be found in My WIN font library. Does Photoshop pull this from another location?

Check to see if it’s in an Adobe font folder somewhere on your system. Keep in mind that sending that font to your printer may be a license violation.

Jay,

That is likely to be a PostScript font located in the c:\Program Files\common Files\Adobe\Fonts.

Postscript Fonts have two components, a .pfb file (postscript font binary) and a .pfm file (postscript font metric) and BOTH are necessary.

However, they will only be able to be used on a Windows system. If your printer is Mac based, he will NOT be able to use it.

There is also the Font License consideration as mentioned by Bob.

Why not send a PDF with fonts included?
