I want to create an effect that will give the appearance of ‘fine bone-china’ on a website. For example, something like a china door-plate down the side, with bone-china buttons for navigation, perhaps with gilt-edging.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks,
Mike.

Are you looking to hire someone to so this, or just looking for tips?

It’s for a non-profit hobby project, so "tips" please.

If you are signed up for Adobe Studio Exchange you could look for a layer effect /Style for this. Or do a search on the web for Layer Styles assuming PS6 or over.

You could probably make your own style with enough trial and error. Emboss, inner glow, contours, etc.

Scan a photo of some china and then cut up the photo using Photoshop.

You can make a background tile, buttons, everything using pieces of that one photo.
