it dissapears!!!!!!

I recently tried to create a stick figure in photoshop using the line tool, however, each time i draw a line the bevel & emboss effect comes up automatically and when i try and draw another line the original one dissapears!!!!!!!!
any help pls?????

You know – a wise man once said that using excessive exclamation points is like laughing at your own jokes …

But, nevertheless:

You have given very little to go on. Like which version of PS are you using? I’ll assume PS 7. Try this:
– select the line tool
– look at the options bar at the top of the screen
– there is a little shape icon with a pull-down menu button; click that – click on the circular button on the top right of the dialog – select Reset Tool

I think that will fix it.
