Having downloaded the 30 day trial version for Photoshop CS i started by opening some tif. files. At which point i get an error….

"Unable to Initialize Security Client. Error Code 304"

One of the files fails to open. I’ve tried it with other files and found the same problem so i know its not a currupt file of any sort.
I’m running a dual processor 2gb machine, 2gb ram, matrox card.

"Nick" at technical support (0845 052 2222) tells me i cannot have any technical support as its only a trial version. I wonder if Adobe actually want me to buy the full version of CS??!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated…

It seems its only when you open multiple files via explorer, as the same files open with no errors when using the open command within CS.

The error is titled "Vbox"…

Matt,

V-Box is the security component of the trial version that a) times the application to 30-days use and b) prevents re-installation of the Trial after expiration.

There is no way that anyone here will be able to sort out any v-box created problems, and any ‘messing’ is likely to cause an immediate time-out of the trial version.

Ah ok…seems ok now anyways. The error only seemed to occur on the first day i installed the evaluation, and the day timer is now ticking down correctly…

Thanks for the info, nice to know its not going to be a problem with the full version.
