Will all tools work in mode 16bit/channel?
I’m using CS at the moment but am considering upgrading.

No, not all. There’s much more support for 16 bits than in CS, but most filters are still not 16 bits, for example.

All of the tools work, but not all of the filters. However, many more of the filters work in CS2 than did in CS.
